December 22nd at 5.30pm in the Coronation Hall.
The plans for the CHRISTMAS PARTY all came to superb fruition!
At 5.30pm the festivities started with some fun for the younger members of the Parish.
All those of school age were invited to create a FESTIVE CROWN and a DECORATED GINGER BREAD TREE...... This proved to be very successful and the enthusiasm of all to produce the most spectacular results entertained us all!!
There was no charge for the party and it was very well attended (we estimate around 40 children and 50+ adults).

What about these for professional results?

No wonder Father Christmas was keen to come and hear this singing!
The MAGNIFICANT RAFFLE and TERRIFIC TOMBOLA were accompanied by mulled wine, mince pies, soft drinks and snacks.
CHRISTMAS CAROL SINGING, festive music
So... along came Father Christmas on a crisp and clear evening with hundreds of lights twinkling their way across the village green.
Soon the children were greeting our elustrious visitor! Father Christmas then came into the hall for the traditional mulled wine and mince pie. He stayed to hear the announcement that the Parish Council had reached stage 2 of the Big Lottery grant competition and the news was greeted with peels of applause, and plenty of encouragement to continue with the mission....... Quite a Christmas present for the Parish and a fantastic start for 2008!. All left rather tired but refreshed at the end of a very light hearted and fun evening.
