HRH The Duchess of Cornwall officially opened the
Coronation Hall on Tuesday 23rd February 2010 at 12 noon.
The Duchess meets shy 4year old Crofton Keyes who raised the most money in a
sponsorship event to raise money of the new hall
The event was attended by over 100 guests, some of whom played active partes in raising the funds for the Hall,
some gained places from a ballot amongst residents of the Parish and others who were involved in
the design, construction and grants involved in the construction of the building.
The Hall was laid out as a coffee shop with images of events held in the Parish arranged around the
walls and a silent movie of one Parish celebration providing amusement for all those present.
Peter Lemon made the opening speech before the Duchess unveiled the plaque to declare the Hall
officially open, after which the Duchess expressed her enjoyment of the time spent in our new
Hall and wished us all well for future events and enjoyment in this beautiful building.
A team of amazing helpers made this event possible and they should all congratulate themselves on a
"JOB WELL DONE"!
